Mishlei 10:25

“צַדִּיק יְסוֹד עוֹלָם”Original oil paintings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the tzaddikim, by Rachel Teeger

Tzaddik Yesod Olam. The righteous one is the foundation of the world.

Shlomo HaMelech teaches in Mishlei that the tzaddik is the foundation of the world. The mekubalim explain the depth of it. The tzaddik is Yesod, the channel through which blessing flows from the higher worlds into ours.

A painting your family will keep for generations.

Rachel accepts a few private commissions each year. Homes, shuls, and institutions around the world.

Why wellsprings

The Baal Shem Tov once ascended to the chamber of Moshiach. When will the master come, he asked. The answer: when your wellsprings spread outward.

From the letter of the Baal Shem Tov

Sold

These are sold. Rachel paints a small number of commissions each year in the same spirit.

Five words

A chossid once came to the Tzemach Tzedek in fear for his ailing son. The Rebbe answered with five words in Yiddish. Tracht gut vet zayn gut. Think good and it will be good.

The artist

The knife. The light.

Rachel paints only in oil, with a palette knife. No brushes touch the canvas.

The painting begins in the seforim. The face arrives once the soul is understood.

Questions

How does buying work?

Choose a painting and pay on its page by card, through Stripe. Your order reaches Rachel the moment it goes through, and she writes to you personally within a day. The canvas is crated by hand and ships insured, door to door.

Is the checkout secure, and who am I paying?

Checkout is handled by Stripe, the same payment company used by most of the shops you already buy from. Rachel never sees your card details, and your statement will show Rachel Teeger Art. You can also pay by bank transfer if you prefer.

How is a painting delivered?

Once it is signed, framed where framing is part of the order, and crated by hand, it ships fully insured, door to door. Allow about a week and a half to two weeks from your order for it to reach you in the United States.

Are these originals?

Yes. Every canvas is an original, signed in oil. There are no prints and no editions.

Is there a certificate?

Every painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Can I see more before deciding?

Of course. Message Rachel on WhatsApp and she will send close up photos of any canvas.

Can I see a painting on my own wall before buying?

Yes. Open any painting page on your phone and tap See it on your wall. The canvas appears on your wall at its true size, through your camera.

Does Rachel take commissions?

A small number each year. Single canvases, pairs, or multi panel works, from about seventy six by sixty centimetres up to wall scale. Commissions begin at $4,000, all inclusive.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes. Many collectors prefer a wire. Message Rachel before you order and she will send her banking details privately.

What if the painting arrives damaged?

Every canvas ships fully insured, door to door. If anything has happened to it in transit, photograph it as it arrived and tell Rachel within seven days. She handles the claim with the courier and either restores the painting or refunds you in full. Because every canvas is an original rather than a stocked item, Rachel does not take returns for a change of mind, so please ask her anything you need before you buy. She answers personally.
